Although PBIS implementation has been successful in decreasing exclusionary disciplinary practices, it may not always appreciably affect the persistent disproportionate representation of certain subgroups in the disciplinary system. This presentation addresses “system fix” solutions that highlight the mismatch between the socio-cultural characteristics of populations served and the typical requirements of the educational system.
